Rowan & Hannah’s Special Day

This is one of the most fun, interesting, amazing couples I know. Girl from London meets boy from Durban. Their story is beautiful. Their love for each other is beautiful. Their wedding was beautiful! They met on the sunny shores of our Transkei coastline and there began the next chapter of their lives. A volunteer trip to South Africa led to wedding bells and permanent residency for this beautiful bride. For the groom – lets just say he will be forever grateful that he decided to come along on the Transkei camping trip (yes he wanted to pull out at the last minute!). While waiting for his bride to walk down the isle, he was truly overwhelmed with emotions, nerves and anticipation. Finally the moment had arrived and his english bride walked down the isle looking absolutely radiant. She was beaming. A church packed with friends and family members from near and far absorbed the atmosphere and got drawn in to the excitement and emotion of this beautiful moment.

After the ceremony at COG’s in Durban North, we headed to the beach for some relaxed photos with the family & bridal party. The sky added some drama as rain clouds rolled in. We stayed dry and had a blast taking these very relaxed-style family pics and group shots. Sometimes its in the simplicity of things that the beauty really shines. Rowan & Hannah had exactly this kind of shoot in mind. So pleased the weather held on for us to capture these moments.

As the skies darkened we headed to one of my favourite wedding venues “Collisheen Estate” in Ballito. Here Hannah & Rowans personalities shone through as they decorated everything in a very personal way. The evening continued with wise, beautiful, encouraging words from loved ones and ended with some serious moves (local & international) on the dance floor.
Rowan & Hannah I wish you well! This is the start of your sweet story…
