I got Sunshine on a Cloudy Day.
I really can’t think of a better way to describe David and Justine’s wedding than to use the words of a song by the Temptations “Sunshine on a cloudy day”. Maybe it helped that the bride and groom come from a country where it rains a lot… But that’s not the real reason. The happiness that beamed from their faces is the real reason.
David and Justine tied the knot in beautiful Windsor in the UK and flew on to South Africa to wedd in front of their South African family and friends. What a special, intimate day it was. Just a few of their nearest and dearest gathered at the gorgeous Intaba View Wedding Venue in Drummond. They spoke their vows looking over the endless rolling hills, mingled with friends and when the rain fell, we found shelter and captured these beautiful moments. Who needs sunshine! Have a look at Justine’s unusual and stunning bouquet which travelled in their suitcase all the way from the UK. David wore very suitable cufflinks with the wise words “Keep calm. It’s my wedding” on them. His pocket watch was another special accessory engraved with both the Windsor and Drummond Wedding dates.
Celebrations, speeches and a beautiful dinner followed under fairy lights as the mist and rain rolled in. David and Justine congratulations again! Thank you for choosing me to photograph your special day! I wish you well and hope to see you again some time in South Africa.
